About to install my Cali raised off-road 25 degree rock sliders with a kick out. Any tips and tricks from people that have done it before? They’re the bolt on option.

Am I going to need a jack at any point? I got a buddy helping me out so it will be a 2 person install. Any insight is much appreciated, thanks!

I did 1 person method. Used some storage totes/Amazon boxes to hold them up (find the right size).
Then slide under and start putting bolts on finger tight.
Tighten them up at the end with a ratchet.

    No need for a jack.

You may have to slide the boxes around left and right as you squeeze in-between to bolt

If you have a buddy helping, it is pretty simple. No jack needed with an extra set of hands.

I used jack stands and did it myself with 2 broken legs, I was on crutches when I picked them up locally from Ft Worth. It's really not hard.

If you have two people, have one stand on the slider while the bolts are tightened. Sometime a bit of a twist in the rails can cause body contact and thus rattling. Guess how I know. :D

I used jack stands with my install. You could probably use anything to prop them up enough to line up the holes as long as it will support the weight.

I had to make new mounts to relocate my brake lines a little. (Sos Sliders on 2nd Gen though) Here's the third gen instructions for SOS Sliders for what its worth. They aren't the best but its something.

I put the slider next to the truck. Laid vertically in-between front and rear tire. Put the slider on my chest / body and with and combination of forearm knee and foot, manuevered close enough to start the rear vertical bolt. Make sure that bolt is close by with impact and socket ready to go and in the forward setting.

I did mine solo with two jacks
Fun part was drilling the optional mounts and metal shavings in my hair

Use lock tite. If might take off later, blue if mostlikly permanent then red. Either way red can still take off. It may not need but whats a few dollars to get yourself some piece of mind when you're using them on bumpy roads that they won't come off lol. I would use red but that's me. Ask the @CaliRaisedLed guy if there is a torque spec for the bolts.

I used a jack and 2x4, lined it up and went on easily.butted right up against the frame and didn't have to lift a thing.
