Work for a company called Allstate tower Inc. I hardly ever get out to the field to climb them. But I do build them all day

new to forum first post so hello all, saw this thread made me wish i was still climbing towers for at&t. I'm an journeyman electrician by trade but for two year i worked for a company coast2coast and had a hell of a good time living on the road working on towers. i started off just powering up all the equipment on the ground, but we got so far ahead of the tower crews that they didnt want us doing any more sites and asked if i would climb and i figured why not i like climbing trees. honestly i wish i was still climibing towers, but my gf(of 6 years) got tired of me being gone all the time so sadly i had to retire my climbing harness and go back to wiring residential and commercial.

image.jpg image.jpg Yep. Do it all the time for repairs and inspections. This is a 120' power distribution tower right next to I5. 3' out of plumb since the early 60's. It was one of my first projects when I started with City Light.
