Any tried Bilstein 8812 + 5160 combo? Thoughts?

    1. Never seen someone here try 8 series yet

    2. I don’t think someone is gonna get a high end expensive front kit like that
    then pair it with a medium grade stock travel 5160 rear

    8112 is basically the 6112 with their zone control system, resis, some new internal goodies, etc.

    Having driven with 5100s all around and running 6112/5160 on my truck the 5160 is probably not a great match for the 8000 series in the front (assuming that the overall valving is no stiffer than 6112). This is based off that, the 6112 is a "softer" valving over the 5100 and the 5160 seems to be in the corner side of valving (closer to 5100).

    This could be ok If you are always running heavy in the back as the stiffer valving will balance out with the additional spring rate and inertia.

    a better match is probably whatever people put on when they get Archive relocate towers
    Which from what I’ve seen appears to usually be Fox’s that are thicker, longer, with reservoir and likely adjustable
