I am considering buying this 2019 Tacoma and hope to have a mechanic check it over after Easter. In the meantime, I took these photos of the undercarriage. For those members with mechanical knowledge, do any of these photos reveal anything that is concerning? Thanks in advance. 5159108C-21E7-4D14-9B29-F1DC6A48E4F0.jpg5D955DBC-58A0-4EED-93FC-5F2F40428B33.jpg1A2C9FE9-D38B-4534-9963-87FD90DF96BE.jpg8E73B658-A4D1-47A0-9622-E43772C922EA.jpg68D755B1-A1CF-4B20-B5AF-B77C8BFB57F1.jpgE7C02C90-41A2-4174-96F5-F92AAA62B283.jpg13FEEB14-CA80-4871-AD34-B23446E0DF17.jpg23332EDC-8AE6-4E8F-A8F5-691F6D09E781.jpg554F43BC-0773-481E-811F-CD0768157D01.jpgF03B4476-2A22-42F1-80A3-8B04B3A93991.jpgE3857174-0781-47D7-912D-55A9CA61F251.jpg07D9D8A5-B7EA-4A94-A911-FE61C2F99387.jpg0344FCCB-6505-48DF-B8A7-C2C0592F832C.jpg

From living in the rust belt, that is extremely clean for a 2019. Usually up here the welds on the frame will show signs of rust 1st. then LCA and so on. I have a 2020 with 50k miles and does not look that clean.

The small bit of rust coloring you do see are on the cast steel items are normal. The paint/coating from the factory aren't great in that area on any vehicle I've owned.

    It does look clean
I have a 2019 also and I’m from NY and it seems to be holding up pretty decent
I spray the frame with this stuff called mavcoat and it seems to work really well

The areas you photographed aren't known to develop rust or other problems within only 4 years. Ask the mechanic to check for a timing cover leak (engine-out job), coolant bypass pipe leak (17 hrs labor), and steering rack leak at the bellows ($1k job).

Less frequent but observed on my own truck was a front diff leak at the driver's side CV axle. You have multiple photos of the passenger side but no photos of the driver's side.
