Went out on Wednesday and got skunked...

But managed to get a kitty kat instead.

Looking forward to this weekend, there's a storm coming in.

Depends where the hole in the waders is and how big it is. You can repair any hole, but always have an extra change of clothes back in the truck... one day the repair will bust.

If you use the accelerator you can fix it QUICK. Also if you are in the your boat and have a Q beam you can use it to dry your waders and speed along the drying process. just be sure to make the hole go all the way through to the inside before you apply the aqua seal. On another note it also makes repairs on neoprene seat covers and dog vest.

What's your budget? As with most things, with quality comes price. You could start out on a Haydel Dr-85, or any generic duck call from a sporting good store for $20. Or you can spend an extra few $, for something like a cocobola (wood) RNT short barrel for around $70. The more expensive calls are going to sound alot more realistic.. I've boughten a lot of cheap junk calls over the days, and it sure would have been easier to start out on just 1 good call. And lastly, if you get a nice call in your mouth, the sounds you produce are going to make you so much more confident in your calling abilities compared to a cheapie call.

Yeah I understand that, but I don't really want to drop a bunch of cash on a call, then I get busy with school and work and not be able to get out enough to make it worth it. And I don't really have that much cash laying around right now. I think my budget is about 40, would really like to keep it under 40.

i think one of the best calls i own is a duck commander widgeon whistle (its the most versatile call also)...its about 12 bucks and easy to use and can also be used to call pintail, teal, mallard drake, and dove and quail if you hunt that....probably the best call i own
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kY95_R5WXdA

i also like the haydel's whistle...basically the same thing just easier to do the pintail whistle....cant do the mallard drake whistle with it tho....

my most used call would be the duck commander mallard hen cut down just because it sounds the best to me...

its all personal preference i would say tho....good luck buddy

aslo: if i were you i would start out with a double reed call and not a single reed because i find a double reed is easier to used and learn with there is also the duck commander triple threat that is really easy to use but pretty pricey

It's been ok but not great. Having a #2 ressie helps a lot. Still need more ducks to show up, probably another couple weeks after the full moon phase. A lot of widgeon showed up last week for sure though.
