You guys had a better weekend than we did. One week left in the season ans we desperately need a cold front to push more birds down.

Our numbers were up this week so you might get a small push, especially with all the ice covered fields in the midwest. I drove all the way to meet with my group this morning and they called it off! Checked the spot we were set to hunt around 10:30 and it had 50 Canadas and 10 Mallards

Man that sucks, we have been having to hunt hard this year. We have been stumped as to what is going on this year vs years past. We usually see the skies full of ducks but this year it has been the opposite. We have killed more mallards this year compared to the past ten years but have not seen numbers even close to what we are use to. We had a record 100 year flood last spring here in Northwest Louisiana and until Thursday, nothing about this duck season has made any sense. I finally got the chance to fly out over our lease and it appears that when the flood hit, waters receded but trapped A LOT of water in places that never get it. For me, I toss it up to way to much water and warmer than usual temps. As for our Mallard count being up, I attribute that to our water levels being lower than normal and easier access to food sources. It's crazy that we can have to much water in quantity but because the level of the water is lower than normal it has brought in more Mallards. Either way we have one week left and I will not be surprised if a week after season closes old man winter finally decides to show up.

That always seems to be the case. We get an extra week this year so hopefully we can take advantage. I think we just broke 100 birds on New Years Eve and last year we had that before Christmas so we're a bit behind on numbers.

I'm anxious to see the differences between the SBEIII and my SBEII Waterfowl Edition, thanks for posting that video.

Yeah me too. I kinda want to pick up an inertia gun this year to compare to my Beretta. If there aren't many differences though I'll probably opt for a SBE2 or Super Vinci.

A guy I hunt with will probably be buying this SBE3 as soon as he can. Hopefully I can report back on how it is.

I look forward to getting my hands on one in the store. I have both the Super Vinci and SBEII, its really a coin toss between the two. I think it really just depends on the look of the gun when your comparing those two models. I wouldn't have bought the SBEII much less the Waterfowl Edition but I got it for $1550.00 instead of the $2299.00 most shops were asking.

I have a stoeger m3500 right now and the barrel keeps swelling the chokes. Instead of getting a new barrel im looking for a new gun. I dont like the m3500. Its okay for what it is, have had only one malfunction but it shoulders and swings awful.

so i really want to get a vinci or super vinci. I've shouldered one and it just points great for me. Plus they're so light. But just not sure if i wanna spend the extra money for the super vinci as I don't really see myself ever shooting 3.5" shells anymore. Not unless I think it will be needed for snows. A problem ive heard with the regular vinci is the trigger guard smashing into your finger, anyone have a problem with this? Heard some do, some don't. I have a super nova and no finger jamming on it, and I have noticed i don't really have my fingers close to the trigger gueard when i pull up, guess cause my fingers are really long and don't need to be next to it to reach the trigger.

Im curious on why they didn't use the in-line interia system used in the vinci. Seems simpler, cleaner since you don't have a spring in the stock that can get water and whatever else in it. Wonder why they have only used it in the vinci and didn't carry to anything else. And does this gun have a redesigned detent so you don't get the infamous benelli click lol.

Haha. Just after picking up my supernova compared to the stoeger, the stoeger feels like your shouldering a log lol. The Benelli is just so much better handling, feel, balance etc.

Lol I think I've seen more pump guns fail then autos. Some have more parts/ more complicated then some autos, especially compared to the interia guns. I took apart a friends sxp and it had more complicated then my m3500.

I can only imagine they didn't use the in-line system because then the two guns would be nearly identical mechanically. No clue about the click issue.

Nothing wrong with a Mossberg 500. I carried one on my back through two deployments as our breaching gun, beat the hell out of it and she kept on rockin.
