    Thanks!
Sorry not in car right now, and probably should have read the brick manuals..

If I'm understanding this correctly, this puts car into accessory mode without disrupting the radio?

And how would I turn the car completely off after that? Press the start stop button again without pressing brake?

I find it annoying as well that the radio shuts off as soon as the truck is shut off. A work around is to keep the truck in gear when you shut it off, THEN shift into park. For some reason the radio stays on if you shut the truck off that way…:notsure:

Just turn the key back one click. This is accessory mode. Radio will stay on but ignition will shut off.

Turn the truck off in neutral. It'll keep accessory on. Only for 15 mins tho.

If I push button while running it turns off then I have to push button on again to get it into accessory.
Still don't understand your theory unless you mean running in drive not in park right?

@Speedfreak is referring to a key ignition, you’re referring to a push button. Two different things. When you have a key, you are able to turn it one notch back into accessory mode, which shuts the engine off but leaves the radio on. Us push button guys don’t have that option, which is why we have to leave it in gear, push the button to turn the engine off, and then shift into park to reach accessory mode uninterrupted.

With push button start, engine running:

    1. Shift to neutral.
    2. Set parking brake.
    3. Press engine start/stop.

Engine turns off, stuff stays on. Open the door, it flips out. You can shift to park to avoid that though.

In most vehicles, the radio and infotainment system will turn off when you turn off the engine. This is because they are typically powered by the car's electrical system, which is dependent on the engine running. However, some newer vehicles have a feature called "Retained Accessory Power" (RAP) that allows certain electrical components to remain on after you turn off the engine.

If your car has RAP, you may be able to keep the radio and infotainment system running for a short period of time after you turn off the engine by following these steps:

    1. Turn off the engine.
    2. Press the "Power" button on the infotainment system to turn it on.
    3. Do not open any doors or exit the vehicle. This will prevent the RAP system from turning off the electrical components.
    4. Enjoy your radio or CarPlay for a short period of time.
