    This is what I love about woodworking and enjoy confusing my girlfriend with. I want to make X, but first I need to make a jig to make X.

    I've been lucky and not had an issue with the acrylic. Cedar is also a bitch.

    Thats going to be a challenge. The wood will be very dry and susceptible to breaking. But will be neat!

    I was given a beautiful piece of quatersawn white oak by a fellow TW member this past weekend....

    12 1/2" wide...too wide for my jointer by 1/2"...hand plane it is :cool:

    Not sure what its next life will be yet

    I don't build instruments yet, but it struck me as a great piece to use as a guitar back or such...

    Makes me lean towards resawing, to have a bunch of pieces for veneer and spread out the wealth...
