Everything is milled and cut. Legs and sides have doninoes dry fit. I'm going to try to dry fit the seat and back tomorrow night.

Just curious because from what I've read those tend to be the cause of false triggers

I got a sawstop a few months ago and love it. It's a bit more than other 3hp saws but it is an impressive setup. The saw even without the stop tech is quality. Hopefully I never set it off but I'm happy to have the safety. Even if it sets off false one day I'll gladly pay to replace the cartridge in case I ever set it off with flesh.

Did this install last week for a friend. I'm working on a TV/bookcase built-in this weekend for another. MVIMG_20190605_192407.jpg IMG_20190605_192417.jpg

Technically, wood with high moisture content is not a false trigger. The saw is reacting exactly the way it's supposed to when it encounters that much moisture. At that point I'd call it operator error, because every Sawstop comes with an override key to turn off the safety mechanism so wood like that can be cut.

    None....yet.
If you aint bleedin, you aint workin! But seriously... Almost every time, those injuries happen immediately after you say to yourself, "i probably shouldnt do this, but....". Be careful! Ive never won a fight against a saw.

yep, need to remember to rust my gut and when it seams stupid, it probably is.

yep, i had that exact feeling about halfway through the crosscut. I'm just thankful i'm not bleeding.
I think the override is the feature they added so that if you know you are cutting something that could trigger it, shut it off. That wasn't in some of the earlier versions of it.

It can happen to anyone, and its a great learning experience. And that brief moment of heart pounding wonder makes you respect the tools more. Definitely not implying you don't already. There are times that this happens with people, myself included, that it scares them out of continuing which sucks

I'm not sure how far back we are talking, but I know I was introduced to the saw in Sep 2008. It definitely had the override at that time because I had to use it for a particular project.
