Always good to have friends you can barter with. He gets a few free dove hunts on my fields every year so we both win.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Yes, they are for re-sawing. They are carbide and cut smooth. They don't leave any marks on the wood.

I can probably hook you up with some. I'll have to see what I have laying around. I know some walnut that I need to take care of though.

The cherry I'm turning now came out of a firewood stack. Have some pecan and hickory saved from the smoker that makes real pretty turnings but the stuff is hard as a brick!

My brother in-law just cleaned up some "left overs" that a neighbor had cut down; maple, white oak, and walnut. The walnut is perfect for turning projects. I'll have to go get some from him. That's all he is going to use it for, firewood.

A live edge western maple slab for my kids new house. 48” at the butt and 36” at the narrow end. The picture doesn’t do the colour and figure justice.

Here is the friction polish recipe for anyone interested. Sure beats buying it in little bottles from Hutt.

I knew you could use those ingredients for homemade polish but i never knew the ratios were different. I was always told it was one to one...to one.

Is it any better than the stuff from Rockler? That stuff is junk. It loads up real quick. Hey, I bet it will burn the wood good. I should try it.

Loads up pretty quick as well. Willing to bet pretty much all the sandpaper rolls like this do. Heck, they are most likely all made at the same place with just different labels.
