Idk if this counts as wood working, or more wood assembling :)

Built a camping drawer for my Tacoma

How well does that hold up without a leg when everything is extended

Great. Never had any issues with about 600 miles off road and weeks of use. I only fully extend it when cooking, otherwise just the main portion comes out

Ripped a ton of 2x4s into 1x1.5s. Added rails for the slats to sit on. Got the second frame done and the bottom slats of one frame done today. Threw the cushions on there and just sat for 5 minutes. Was hot today, even with two fans and drinking 1L of water per hour, Houston heat is rough.

Next week will finish sofa one’s back slats, then figure out if I have enough lumber for slats on the second sofa.

Made this yesterday to display one of my deer mounts. Found out that old fence boards make good “barnwood”

Ugh, little mishap with the tablesaw tonight. Was using the tablesaw sled, but was stupid and didnt have the piece against the fence. I had a stop setup and didn't want to move it. I just wanted to split the piece in half to make it easier to work with. I was going slow and just as i felt it was not going well it kicked and slammed my finger between the board and the fence. No blood, but feels like i smashed it with a hammer.

I still remember an episode of 'This Old House' back in the like the early 90's. Bob Vila is talking with one of the main site guys, and he's talking about cedar siding etc and how they've got to cut it to length and so on. 2 scene's later, and its the next day and the same guy is back talking to Bob with what looks like a dishtowel and duct tape wrapped around his left hand after what he described as an "unexpected meeting with a circular saw".

    It can happen to anyone.

If anyone has instagram, follow sawstop. They regularly post pics of customers who have sent in pics of the minor nicks and cuts people get from a sawstop contact.

Recently retired and I wanted a new tablesaw. Wife was against it until we watched some utube videos from saw stop. I am now the owner of a new table saw. It is sweet.

    The sawstop is awesome.

I'm normally a lot more careful with the table saw. Not sure what the hell i was thinking last night

They are better. Apparently you can send in the black box and they can tell you what you hit.
