I didnt build this shop, it was here when we bought this place, its not insulated...no concrete floor, didnt have electric. Just having electric is a huge improvement. The rest I can deal with, winter sucks because if I have to glue stuff it will be taken inside. The shop is about 350' from the house.

Ive been kicking around putting a wood floor in half of it since I dont use it as a garage that way at least I can roll stuff around. I really would rather have concrete but its too expensive for me right now.

Mine is just a wood floor I put in. It was a horse stall when we bought the place. Had to sister the the side walls just to make the 2x4s straight too. Sheeted it because it was all covered in bird shit, disgusting and uneven. Almost forgot how bad it looked. lol.

You’re a better man then me. I wasn’t about to do dirt floor in a wood shop. Even laid some cheap ass flooring. Stuff wipes off like a dream though! Even wood glue comes off with the whack of a chisel.

Next year we are also doing a she shed for the wife. Probably go kinda nice on that one though.

I got my flooring for less then $1/ft. at HD. It was worth it, just a cheap floor to make things easier.

That’s both the nice and bad thing about the east coast. So much history. Love the old houses out that way.

Mine is a 1958 split level. Had 50amp service, but the home owners were friendly and upgraded me to 200amp prior to moving out. Its been nice. I'm thinking of putting a sub panel in my shop. Currently debating how I should do that.

I’ve only had the pleasure of working with clear on my current job. It’s a great wood to work with.

I like using Cedar too, BUT it kicks up so much saw dust!

I’ve been outside on 10 acres, most of it blows away. My only complaint is that it’s so soft, it’s hard to train subs to not touch it.

I have to agree straight clear cedar is a beautiful. @OZ-T I am guessing that you are saving your 2 1/2 x 14 cedar for a special project. @23Skidoo just curious what is the intended use for this building?
