Those were likely originally done with a combination / rabbet plane or similar

buy one of those and get a custom knife ground

That's gonna be 1,000 times more expensive than the mill quote you got.

That is pricey. What about a v router bit, run all your cross or grid cuts. Come back with an aggressive sand paper glued or taped to an inside curve. Maybe cove cut a board and add a coupe handles to it so you can run it back and forth like a hand plane.

I would buy a table saw molding cutter and make your own cutter- or have someone make one for you that does it in one cut.

Cut your board to 5 7/8th but keep it full length make the cut with the grain and then cut them into squares and run the cross cut.

In a rush- hope that makes sense.

The set up fee sounds right. I’ve never asked to have the milled planks cut and run again. Historical renovation is not cheap.

You could make a mold from a good one and cast them in plaster, assuming it’s for paint.

I almost said that too as a second option to the v bit but wasn’t sure how viable it would be for outdoor use.

I suppose you could flip them on the side after the v bit runs and do a round over, possibly using a bit extension.

Or maybe do the round over first so you can come back with the v bit to clean up any flat cuts from the round over. It does appear to be a deeper profile closed to the rounded part.

It's for inside, I think the v bit will get the majority. My main confusion is the round portion. I haven't seen a router bit that would accomplish what I need.

I might just cast in plaster then. If you really want wood, look at crown molding bits and think outside the box as far as upright vs flat runs. Wood fence with door or pocket cut is one of my favorite ways to run a cut, especially if it doesn’t have a bearing or bearing where you want or need it.

Bull nose bit will get you close.

That’s what I have on my router table, but I built it. It’s a copy of something Norm Abrams made. It works very well plus I am able to use a dust collection with it.

Same here but my router is a leaf I built for my TS and the fence gets clamped to my TS fence.

Look for some cabinet door router bits. There may be something that could work. Sorry I’m not at home to look at my set. Good luck and keep us posted.
