Did you cut the curve shape of the handle out or is it split? Rescued fire wood or bought board?

Ugh... it was 50° on the 26th (Dec) so started to insulate. Next day, dropped to 30s, now it’s teens- zero this week. Was hoping to get the shop insulated so I could use it this winter. :pout:

I always complain that whenever I need to make sets it is either raining or super cold.

Forecast in Atlanta for install day? 14. FML.

    None....yet.
Gonna start restoring a few old Stanley planes I took possession of pretty recently. Just 2 little block planes and a handyman :bananadead:.... I figure I'll turn the latter into a scrub plane. They're in decent shape other than the years of hand sharpening ahead. Should be fun though, and I'll post pics for the process I suppose.

Edit: after opening the bag and taking them out, I'm pretty sure the block planes are old craftmans... but one has a stanley blade. Still gonna clean em up.

Welp, should be rust free by now!

I’m assuming that’s the kinda soak you’re doing.

Check out Amazon for around 23 bucks a gallon. Home Depot has it too.
