Yeah, that’s a bit of a drive. They’re right off 40, keep it in mind on road trips. Their warehouse is huge, it’s fun just to go look.

They are way over priced. It's probably done to cover the free shipping.

These should be around $80. They are also live edge which seems to be a trend right now. (I don't care for live edge myself) https://www.thelumbershack.com/coll...c-lumber-boards-30156-30157#feature-tab-slide

It kind of works like this. They are either high priced and offer low shipping (like above) or are low priced price and have high shipping (www.woodworkerssource.com).

Few are are both low priced with reasonable shipping. Kencraft and Ocooch are this. I have ordered several times from Kencraft but my next order will be from Ocooch.

Awesome thanks! Ive been making a couple things I sell here and there and getting tools when where I can. I'm at the point now where I want to start getting nicer wood to make stuff.

We are going back many years here, but when I was stationed at Bragg there was a woodshop on Pope. Not only could you use it (after passing safety course), but they also sold some wood. Maybe it's still there?

I'll do some research and ask around, thanks for the tip. I think I might know what youre talking about...was it next to the auto skills center near Pope?

I believe so? That sounds about right. I was discharged over 13 years ago, so it's been some time...

Just gonna put a chamfer on these. I'm not real big on juice grooves after I read an article somewhere about the bacterial gatherings held in them. Dont know how much really does, but I'm generally anti-grooves anyway.

Nope; canary wood, sapele, or I can't get there when they are open.

A lot of my wood has come from craigslist or someone who knows someone that wants to get rid of some wood.

Makes sense, if it's not an eastern hardwood you obviously can't buy it locally.
