Any woodworkers?

Mystery solved!! I recently got into mixing two part epoxy to fill voids and cracks in wood. Just an accent thing. Note to self: Don’t run epoxy thru your planer! I put the new blades in on the 18th, they are shot. I had not thought about the damage epoxy could do, guess I’m sanding it down flush from now on. I surely appreciate all you guys trying to help me out, I fell like an idiot! Here is a picture of one of the blades, I-phone picture but you can still see the damage. It’s right in front of the “G” triangle.

Brushes look like they got long life yet. If they were smaller/flatter id say there was an issue

 

Dewalt 734 planer knives are reversible FYI

 

Yeah, just flipped them.

 

I just flipped them, the edge was ruined in several places.

Weird, I’ve never had troubles with epoxy like that. I’ve done quite a bit of it.

 

Is it just me or does it feel like it takes longer to find good quality lumber at Home Depot than it does to complete a project lol

Since this pandemic has come around, my local Home Depot actually has good lumber.
I used Lowes and a local lumberyard for the last 25 years. I cannot stand the ways Lowes is operating now.
Poor quality material, poor attitude of the workers, unkept stores, and the management doesn't care.
They're fired.

 

The lowes in Idaho had decent lumber, i havent used them yet here, i need to build a small shed so we will see. Both Home depot and lowes near me seem clean and tidy

 

We don’t have a Home Depot in Beckley. The closest one is 50 miles away.
