My finish carpenter and I were ripping 1/4" x 1" x 20' long strips of vertical grain fir for a "hat" detail on the baseboards for a waterfront home I built almost 20 years ago , one of the strips pinched , got up on the blade and launched ... right into the $4000 front entry door lol

we were just looking at each other as this 20' long arrow gently swayed up and down , buried about an inch into the door

we ended up cutting it off with a flush cut saw and it stayed in there haha

I finally got around to gluing up my router cabinet. Now to sand and finish it tomorrow after the glue dries. I was too impatient and put the wheels on tonight.

Anyone ever build a dulcimer? I have a neck for one and was looking for some ideas. I have plans for one but they are the curved type and must steam the wood for the sides.

What fence system is that? I've never seen one with the guides on the side like that.

I had to look that up... No I have not.

It looks fun though. Rockler has an inexpensive steamer. I have one but haven't used it.

That’s the Jessem fence, the roller guides are an add-on and absolutely worth having!

Two bowl failures today as well.
One I cut thru the bottom, the other split out the side. I am trying to get them thinner and thinner, but I went to far. 16054086646126421113256421779204.jpg

    Thanks. Lol.
It was the first tenon bowl I had ever made. I always use mortise and expand into the recess. I looks cool though setting up off the table.
