Went out to the shop last night to retrieve all my batteries ahead of the freeze. First time I’ve been out there in weeks. Maybe I’ll get the itch again.

Now that I’ve finished this hall table for my wife, I can make a couple interesting bookshelves for my sister before Christmas. I’m learning...180DDDAF-0034-42AE-A960-EE4E40D94E90.jpg

Any of you guys make doors? I was thinking of making a new front entry door for my house. It’s fully covered other than summer sunlight. I was debating making the door out of plywood since it would be cheaper, easier, and painted. Any issues that might come along with a plywood door? Door would be similar to the one below upload_2020-12-4_7-36-19.jpg

Thanks! It's been quite a challenge, being non-standard in how the front goes together.
Trying to get a mirror smooth finish is also a real PIA!

I think you might have issues with it not wanted to stay flat especially in winter and summer when temperature and humidity differences on either side of the door would be at their greatest

I prob wouldnt use plywood, since it can curls/separate/warp etc.

Plus I don't think it would make a very good exterior door security wise.

The shipping label was just printed yesterday, hasn’t actually shipped yet. They were slow to respond to inquiries about the delay, but looks like I should have it soon.

    sweet

I'm boxing for electrical in my shop right now and had a panic attack yesterday that the V-3000 wasn't going to fit where I want to put it but in the end I think its going to be fine

did you get the stand or are you going wall-mount ?

Ok Sounds like solid wood door it is. I can get fir easily and was debating having a few trees at my friends place cut down and milled. Too many trees and not enough fire breaks on these California properties means free lumber if you know the right people
