LOL--I'm in Council Bluffs right now. Too bad my wood inventory is at an all-time low.

I have a "commission" for my daughter for a bunch of pens in Husker red for some friends of hers who are graduating next week from UNL Master's program. So that'll keep me busy, when the pen kits and blanks come.

Here are a few of my finished projects:

Mission style clock in mahogany salvaged from my BIL's boat

    clock.jpg

Draper's cabinet for my fiancee's quilting supplies--copied from a Sundance catalog, saved about $3000 making it myself

    shelf.jpg

Some stuff I sold at auction for my old high school's fundraiser for their arts program--you can guess school colors...

    mccallie wood.jpg

A cutting board I made for my sister who lives near Boulder

    Colorado board.jpg

A cutting board for my uncle, who hosted me in February. This is one of the first boards I made using the CNC machine. The town is Lebanon, VA--hard to see in that light.

This walnut I’m getting is only 65 miles from Lebanon, VA. Maybe someone could make a run for you.?.?

Thanks I'm sure my uncle who lives in Lebanon and father who lives in Rocky Mount wouldn't mind picking it up, and have plenty of barns to store it in, but I don't see a chance of getting it to me anytime soon.

    Thanks for the offer though!

Any idea how this was made? Router bit? But what kind? I’m sure OZ knows! B830AF81-F304-4FCF-97F9-CF05BB580F29.jpgED14C19A-82B3-4E7A-BC00-5FF9AB4FB203.jpg

I’d figure it’s a ~1/2” round over with the guide bearing swapped out for 1/4”, with the board run vertically.

EDIT - You’d have to have the bit crazy extended, so I’d guess something with a 1/2” shank? Other option would be to pull the bearing off the top of the round over and see if that leaves a clean cutting edge on top, then just set the fence back the appropriate distance?

You may be right, now we are getting into things over my head. I may try to redesign it a bit with what I have. Thanks!

you could likely replicate it with a router table

Got one, I was just bashing my head against a wall trying to figure out what bit to use. It looks like if I cut the bearing shank off of a roman ogee it would produce the same profile, with some burning...

Looks like a 1/2" round over bit they took off the guide. And used a router table
