Well it looks good sitting next to the Laguna 1836 lathe, lol. I have had good dealings with customer service, it's better than it used to be. Most tool companies don't make their own tools anymore, seems like everything comes from Taiwan today.

No worries, Taiwan is the good China!
That new saw is a major upgrade!
I upgraded from a Delta contractor saw to a used Unisaw a couple of years ago and have been thrilled by the night and day difference.

Oh it does look like a nice saw. I tried to get wheels for my TSS01 for the longest time, finally I just gave up. I just realized one of my Festool drills is in my suspension upgrade post in my thread, wonder if I'll get anyone worked up over that in there!

As do I. Some people hate on the drills but I've had my c15/ti15 for 5 years now? More maybe. And they just work as well as the day I got them, same batteries and everything.

I bought a TSX on festoolrecon a few months ago and I love it. It's far more advanced than anything I've used before and it fits my hand perfectly.

I used to drive for a company as a flatbed steel hauler, we got large bunks of hardwood 3x4's to put under the steel on the flatbed. Was mostly oak, some maple, and occasionally I would find something like cherry or walnut mixed in. So I snagged these 2 walnut boards a year ago, they have been in the garage where it's nice and dry. I'm going to use them for the legs on my outfeed table. I very rarely buy wood, I find it, or I chainsaw mill it.

Got the leg blanks milled up and drilled for the leveling feet. 20210622_184243.jpg

I still have to cut them to final length yet. Then I need to mill up the stock for the stretchers.

Wood looks too nice for an outfeed table! Mine came with my saw (bought used from a friend) and I've been too lazy to replace it yet. But it's wobbly. Might be time soon.

It was free found wood. I use walnut like they make pallets out of it because around here they do! Lol. And maple and cherry and.......
My table saw is the centerpiece of my shop, it has to have solid outfeed tables.

The first pallets I saw like that blew my mind.

Same shipment of mortar mixers, came in on walnut and cherry pallets.
The wood was trashed, and cut way to young to be worth doing anything with, but it bothers me still.

On a whole different note, got 100bf of ambrosia maple from muterspaw lumber in ohio.16244088529828883805101589184725.jpg

I had a coworker that had his own cabinet shop on the lookout for pallets that used hardwoods for me to do the wall in my theater room. He found me a bunch of oak, maple and hickory. :)

Ooh very nice lumber stack there! Spalted maple? That stuff is gorgeous! I made another TW member here a japanese style custom bed. Hey @acupunk can I show them your bed? I figure it's polite to ask first.

I have some salted maple, the new white wood is ambrosia maple, then I have some curly heart ambrosia maple too. I dig that stuff.
