Totally screwed up on this book case cause the smallest shelves where supposed to be on the top and the bigger on the bottom, but past a point of no return. Lol

Working on a table for a neighbor. After a week of cutting drilling and sanding, the test fit looks good. Ready to glue up tomorrow.

Does anyone here know why Dewalt discontinued this saw? I have had one of these for years and I have been very pleased with mine.
I understand it is not a "pro" table saw, but as a "hybrid" as this article describes it, the saw has worked well for my needs.

Could be a number of issues like low sales or material costs.

This is an old McCulloch 100cc chainsaw, no longer made. And I have since wore it out and upgraded to a 125cc Husqvarna, I also have a 90cc Husqvarna that I'll be rigging up with a shorter bar for smaller logs.

The link to the other forum did answer most of my questions so thank you for that.. and I am not looking to make a bajillion dollars.. I'm more about taking it from a tree to a finished project for myself... busy hands clear mind and all that.

Are you running bar oil in the auxiliary tank on the end or something lighter like vegetable oil?

I run bar oil, good quality oil I get from my local tractor supply at a reasonable cost. Sometimes in the winter when it's cold I'll mix a little diesel fuel or kerosene in the bar oil so it will flow. Milling is really hard on bars and chains so you need lots of oil and don't cheap out and buy crappy bar oil. I'm just a hobbiest myself, but chainsaw milling has provided a lot of lumber that I otherwise couldn't afford to buy. It allows me to do wood working. In fact it gets me stuff that you can't buy from your local hardwood supplier. 3' wide slabs of whatever species you want to mill. Yup I get the regular stuff like oak, maple walnut, etc. But I also get elm, apple, locust, box elder, etc

Thank you for all the helpful information! I'm sure I'll have more questions along the way!
