I liked how they gave me one sanding pad.

Funny, for what that stuff cost they could have given you a year's supply, lol. I refuse to go down the festool rabbit hole.

Real progress, got one stem shaped, it’s ugly, but the inner stem is completely hidden, so I’ll take it. Looks like my outer stem will fit well and should be able to take the shape I need. The real key was my new favorite tool, that little green spokeshave. Much easier to get the continuous curve than trying to finesse my hand plane and chisels.

one more to shape then I can actually start planking the sides, might look like a real canoe soon.

That spokeshave looks awesome, I love the adjusters on it!

I’m interested in a shaper origin. Anyone here has one? Would you buy it again?

Not going to buy it soon but would like real feedback instead of the reviews out there. Everything is positive and don’t want to be blinded sided with their marketing. I know it’s a festool partnership so there must be reliable in the router at least.

Very nice! A very long time ago, I wanted to build one. There was no way to get a full sized one out of my basement so I built a 6 footer to use as a cradle for my newborn son. Fun times!

yeah, this was specifically in mind when we bought this house, a garage that was at least 24’ deep for me to work on projects. Our previous house I could fit my 2010 access cab in their if I was touching the far wall, and had 3/4” to spare when the overhead door was down, not a lot of room for projects in that place.

That looks great! But I’m guessing it’s expensive!
