You don't have any Dorman 610-632, do you? I need a set to replace the garbage studs on my niece's Renegade and no one has them in stock.

When the truck stopped they kept going, blew right through the trailer. If they had gone through the cab I might not be here.

 

I contacted Dorman. They don't even have them until the end of March.

 

Glad you mostly ok. So many times you see these not end so well, especially with that kind if cargo.

 

I am in a somewhat similar situation with my hands/ thumbs. I did not get in an accident but just getting old I guess. I have been dealing with stenosing tenosynovitis or “trigger thumb” in both of my hands for about a year now. This is when the A1 pulley becomes inflamed and thickened, making it harder for the flexor tendon to glide through it as the finger bends. Over time, the flexor tendon becomes inflamed and can develop a small nodule on its surface, further aggravating the condition. I am at the nodule stage in both hands. It is both painful and annoying at the same time.

Luckily I am and elementary school teacher, so it has not affected my ability to work.

Been seeing an orthopedic surgeon and I should be scheduling surgery next week for my right hand, wait 6-8 weeks for it to heal, then fix the left.

Until they are surgically fixed, I take it slow and think about how to grip and move heavy items in the shop safely.

Glad that were you were not injured more seriously and hope that you have a speedy recovery.

Do you all use disposable brushes for glue? I’ve been using popsicle sticks to apply and spread but think disposable brushes would be better.

 

Depends on what you're gluing. A lot of disposable brushes with bristles will lose bristles in the glue.

For my projects I usually use a rubber roller .. easily cleaned and reused .. or just my finger for smaller things.

 

I have a silicone glue set, but usually use acid brushes from Harbor Freight for most small glue ups.

 

I use silicone brushes and a silicone spreader. The glue just peels of once it sets up.

 

I used to use acid brushes (got the idea from Norm many, many years ago!) but recently switched to Rockler silicon brushes. As mentioned, they work great, easy to clean.
