Been meaning to make some bird houses I mean I have angle grinders for sanding, files as well, not to mention a circular saw.

Smaller than a pigeon

Neighbor has pigeons living under his solar panels on his roof; fortunately none on mine but I don't want them trying to get in there

Here's my iteration of what you had sent; I wanted to experiment and add detail but by utilizing just the kerf width and not actually cutting much out

Turned out to be a fun little experiment mainly cause the lines themselves provided the detail I wanted, and it's metal I'm not using for anything else



Problem is, even at this size there was distortion so it's just a tiny bit bowed



So I took to using my scriber but it literally just scratches the surface of the metal and doesn't go all that deep





I'll have to experiment with a hatch fill and revise the drawing myself again to achieve something with fine detail in such a small space

Or set up a Gofundme for laser or at the very least, high def plasma

 

That looks great! I cant use it for my project but id still take it.

Sweet engineering!

Full bars supporting the lower section, but backset enough to not look like they exist. Side supports look pretty and lightweight but are sufficient to keep weight from falling. Nice central/edge contrast in wood selection.

I have learned in recent years that things can be strong but also be pretty and look non-blocky.
