Yea I’ve done zero wood turning which is why I wanted to go cheap to start off. Its either that or I’m gonna buy a forge but I don’t really have the space for that yet.

What if I told you that all the major components of most of your vehicles and electronics begins in either Chinese mines or Chinese owned mines?

ain’t no way around it in this day and age.

Sorry, not going to let political crap destroy or hinder my workshop and wood working in any way. Chinese stuff is everywhere, your not going to stop it. It's in every TV, auto, electronic, appliance, and on and on. I just paid $2800 for an American made speed queen washer and dryer, and I'll bet there are some Chinese parts in it. You can try and limit it but you can't eliminate it entirely.

Lol, it's not political. Just common sense. No worries. Some people get it, others, not so much. It is what it is.
And yeah, I know it's currently impossible to completely avoid it, but I always go out of my way to limit it whenever possible.

I mean...even large corporations like Honda have operations around the globe and for the same items people think "would only come from Japan"

Quality control is held to the same standard, and you wouldn't know the difference regardless of what part of the world it came from

If you're wondering what I'm referring to, I'm just talking about GX motors (as one minor example)

I was born in the indentation on the west border between the faded line and the screw holes below it. :p

A metal panel (also in the same shape) with some lettering cut out in the middle would compliment that very well, especially if said metal was painted black :anonymous:

I’m thinking about putting a thermometer on it so you can tell how it is here in the summer

So it's going outdoors then? Would look even better with a metal holder/panel in front!

Yep that shop heat is brutal. Window unit and attic fan and still can’t get below 85 in the summer

This one is yellow pine it will rot really quickly outside. I will probably make another one out of oak to put on the Wife’s SheShed

Maybe someone here can help me?

I need to run my baseboard (in my house) down a 1/2 - 3/4” floor transition.

what do you think is the best way to do that? I’ve seen a couple different things on the tubes but thought i’d see what you thought.
