We stopped by Lowe’s to get what I needed for this, then the wife says “It’s just a table, screw some legs on it and be done.”

I should’ve went by myself…

 

Refinished this bowl, she said what is was but I wasn’t listening

 

So here it is done for the most part. I have the 2 vinyl stickers on the top I would like to seal down and protect from scratches. I concerned that the lacquer finish will run the color on the stickers. Any suggestions?

Picked up 6 boards of ambrosia maple for $40. Got some nice color on em.

 

Done, could’ve done better though. Top has been epoxied, folding legs.

Did you put a form around it?

 

No, that would’ve required buying wood from Lowe’s the other day, when she smarted off and said just put legs on it.

 

Used one of my first ever projects today.




Then designed and made some leg structure templates. Took a few tries to find a shape we liked. My wife wants news lounge chairs for our living room. Will be made out of 8/4 Alder or Cherry. I have not purchased the wood yet.

 

I mixed up about 16oz of epoxy, poured it in the center, and started spreading it out. It does have 2 pieces of 1”x3” oak under it for support and something to attach the legs to.

Good choice on the Stone IPA. It is solid.

 

From 10’ away! It needs to have a top coat on it to fill in the low spots, but I figure we’ll try it out and let it get some scratches before I go over it again.

 

Heavy use epoxy needs constant refinishing lol. I’ve got two kids and an epoxy coffee table I made and it’s always in need of a new cut and buff. Another pour once it’s scratched to hell will also work
