That's a horrible idea. What time?
Well, for better or worse, it's glued up. Four 10k cargo straps and three soft shackles on the work bench. Not as much squeeze out as I'd hoped for, but the joint should be pretty solid.

That looks like what happens in my shop about 70% of the time. Redneck engineering at its finest. :hattip::hattip::hattip:

Well thank you sir. I am making notes for the shop at the new house next year. Cargo strap anchor points in the walls might make the list.

Also noted. My dad's table saw is sitting in the corner waiting to put to work.

I was trying to figure that out, but wasn't sure surface calls would hold and the outside edge is live, so they wouldn't work.

Couldn't help myself. A little spritz.

I'm not really happy with my glue joint, although it's looking better. Then I thought about filling it with sepia or white oak. Sepia pictured.

Got it flipped over and did some filling and sanding. And to protect the bottom a little, one coat of the Total Boat primer varnish / sealer on the bottom and live edge to stabilize the edge. Still wet in the pics, but it's going to look good.

Back home and made some progress on Alder Lounge Chair #2. Got the back rest and seat assembly cut out and everything rounded over. Domino locations are marked, but not cut yet. Anyone else into hand planes, just hoping to get some thoughts on this. I recently picked up the router plane in the center ( I used the other two for comparison for size )and I’m wondering if anyone would have any ideas about it, no name, cast brass and decent quality, doesn’t look homemade but doesn’t look like it would be to common. I bought it as I like the size which is also one of the things I find most interesting, ideas?

Hard wax oil on the first one. Not enough finish for #2. It will be here Tuesday.

Sorry for all the pics, but I am super excited for how this one turned out.
