    I got one for my dewalt 735x. It’s a good upgrade if you have the money.

    I built mine from the youtube instructions but that guy apparently sold the plans and rights to sell it to Veritas, which I believe is now in production.

    I didn’t think so.
    I’ve rebuilt earlier model planers before, so it taking it apart was pretty straight forward.

    If I had to do it again, I would however use a wood dowel rather than a metal punch to get the cutter out. It’s easy to mushroom it.

    I already did the byrd head upgrade on my grizzly 8" jointer. It's definitely worth the .only in my opinion. I'll probably never change the cutters in my lifetime.
