    I had the older version of this for about 2 years I bought it used at a garage sale for $40. It got the job done for me when I used it for rough frame work and ripping pine and other softwoods, it would struggle with 9/4 maple or cherry.

    My suggestion is to hold out for a garage-sale $100 or less good table-saw!

    I guess thats another question, what are you going to be making? if you are just using regular woods it prob will be ok. but if you are using a lot of hardwoods, cherry,oak, maple, walnut etc you might have a tougher time with a portable table saw.

    you'd prob be good with a portable just get a good rip blade. If you do a lot of long cuts get a roller support to put out past your table saw. Helps immensely

    so long as its the same height as your table saw, the rollers are nice because you can adjust and the plywood or whatever just rolls over top

    I have that Dewalt's big brother and the fence is what sold me on it.

    I also have this Porter Cable that's more comparable to the Ryobi. Got it for $99 on Black Friday. The table top is junk. If I think about it, I'll try to grab some pics tonight. I mainly use it for jig work, which is the only reason I bought it. I'm not saying the Ryobi is junk, but I'd hold out for something better (and bigger).

    It's not the width, it's the ability of it to stay square when it's locked down. It's geared and linked to both sides of the table.

    Very true...this is part of the problem with Jet fence...it just sits on the rail on the opposite side. Which wouldnt be a problem if the lock down was 100% and didnt wobble...;)

    I know when Menards is running 11% rebate both Lowes and Homedepot will give you a discount or store credit. (I can't remember which was which) at least here in Wisconsin.

    Diablo or Irwin/Marples are my go to blades. But you also need to buy the style blade for the application. Blade selection is a whole new world.
