Question for you guys. I need to trim a plywood top to a desk I made. My router left about 1-1/4” to the wall. It’s 1/2” material. What the best way to trim this so I can place the edge and finish my desk?

    Pull saw?
    Coping saw?
    Something else?

Its cool. I got it. Went and picked up a pull saw from HF this morning. It worked well enough. Ill hit it with a sander and it will be perfect.

I marked where the router stopped and where I needed to finish trimming the top

I totally get it. I'm figuring all this out on my own. My grandfather and uncle were the only wood workers in the family and both are gone. Im very good as using the wrong terminology and WAAAY over thinking things

I got some minwax paste wax from Home depot the other day :D now I got to put it on ;) also found the used planer I bought a couple years ago appears to be off just a bit. So now I wait for Planer knife setting guages ;) Maybe one day I'll get my stuff together...;) its okay for slap together work but when you get into precision you start finding little stuff that hangs you (ME) up...

denatured alcohol wont hurt the finish if its something else...if its shellac it will start coming off on the rag or whatever you wipe it down with.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Yep, it is either going to work or not. @scottalot just try it on an inconspicuous area, like the back of a leg or drawer face bottom.

Side note: Ordered a Veritas dovetail saw......and it's on back order...and of course they didn't tell me until after my order was confirmed. :annoyed:

I love my veritas saws. I've got a dovetail saw, a set of carcass saws, and a set of tenon saws.

Although I have the dovetail saw, I find myself reaching for the carcass saw every time I cut dovetails.

I was also shopping on Lee Valley this weekend, and was about to buy a set of spokeshaves, but saw that they were on backorder until April.

I may be buying someone's Lee-Nielsen if I have to wait too long (and if it is still for sale) ;)
