Wondering if anyone has added LED lights to the underside of the doors so that when the door is opened the lights shine towards the ground?

If so, how did you mount them? How much room is there for mounting a LED application? What product did you use?

    Thanks!

I haven't, but there are several products out there. You could mount some under the rocker panel, or to the bottom of the side mirror. Oznium.com has a bunch of LED stuff, or you can get sealed LED strips off eBay that people have used here for rock lights.

Under the side mirror would be fairly easy to get wires to. The bottom of the door might have some clearance issues.

    .
My feeling is that one could install something in the bottom edge of the plastic catch-all thingy at the bottom of the door rather than cutting metal

Great idea! As space between the door and interior (when closed) is no longer a problem.

@iroc, I was thinking of that too and will probably do that mod anyhow, but I was thinking lights coming from the door would light the door a little bit too so passing traffic would see the open door as well.

I added two led strips under each front door today...it should keep my wife from hitting her shins on my nfab bar....I hope.

The best way would be to tap it into the door pressure sensor that triggers the dome to come on. Make sure you wire the ground to it, as that is how the pressure sensor is wired. When that switch is de-pressurized it connects the ground for that circuit.
