Same here - I started working on payroll jobs after school and during summers at 15 - before that my dad had me working in the yard every weekend and summer at least part of the time. It boggles my mind how many young people out here don't work and have jobs at least during the summer - again I think it's systemic of the environment in lower income areas, but even in more affluent areas I am aware of a lot of kids that are not working. I hear the excuse that they are focusing on school, but that's not what is happening in my view :)

We've been keeping a wide berth. If you can't discuss education, then how are we going to make sure future generations are going to be buy more taco's and keeping this site alive!? :)
To keep this guy happy (remember OP started this vein of discussion and it is his thread, so...)

Just don't want to see people getting banned for talking politics!

More so just trying to see some exhausts :spy:

Do you mount your spare under the bed?

These are two different trucks - both not mine, but the truck in the top two pics had a tire carrier in the bed. I can't remember where I got the bottom pic. I think you should be fine with exhaust temps by the time it gets to the spare though. There's a lot of distance between the spare and the exit up there.

On a side note, anyone know why there is a "show ignored content" option at the bottom of my page?

Cut mine right above the axle, no fumes and an extra bonus allows my 255/85 spare to fit

    I agree! On all counts!

And I'll revert back to the exhaust now...

So that didn't cause gasses to get into the cab. No louder or more resonant inside either?

I asked the guy whose truck the top two photos are from in my post - he said no fumes and no droning for the years he had his truck set up that way. It was a first gen extra cab.

Noted. That's good thinking. I want to eventually carry one on a swing away carrier but that solves the problem of the second spare.

I cut it just above the rear axle, it still points down slightly, and absolutely no gas in the cab. Not a thing. The exhaust usually just drifts through the rear right wheel
