Anybody Buy this Ebay Steel Roof Rack?

I dont think I have seen these before, they look decent enough though...

You wouldn't be able to mount anything super heavy (such as a RTT) but it holds up to 330lbs...

 

Looks good. I don't see anyone running anything other then a prinsu roof rack

 

Yeah same, it doesnt look awful for a 3rd of the price...

 

Would hate to see the truck once that thing starts rusting..

Also, make sure you know the difference between static and dynamic ratings..

 

Might get some noise from the vents in the front...

It says there is a 5 year warranty on the ecoating process and corrosion.. I do see where you are coming from though. that would be a nightmare... I didn't see anything about static or dynamic ratings though, what is this pertaining to?

 

I wouldn't trust the coating or warranty. Either grab an aluminum roof rack and never worry, or strip it and take it to a local powdercoater with QUALITY powder and get a warranty locally.

Static and dynamic loads; Dynamic is the rating while moving. Static is while the vehicle is stopped. I can carry a 150lb RTT while moving, but jump my happy ass up there and sleep in it while parked.

 

It seems like you would get some wind noise regardless of what you put up there though, I do wish that the fairing sat lower down on the roof. It looks kinda weird levitating an inch and half above the windshield

 

Just like buying the OEM Style Roof Racks junk, you get what you pay for. Some things you just don't cheap out on.

I'd be more interested in their bed rack in that photo that they don't seem to sell on their ebay store...

 

Yeah, I would hate to get it if something was going to continue to bother me about it, even if it was a good deal. Working on saving for a good one myself.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense, I personally don't plan on ever running a RTT but it is definitely something to take into consideration. I honestly wasn't planning on buying a Roof Rack anytime soon I was more just wondering if anyone has bought these and if they have held up.

 

This looks amazing! I'm not really shopping for a roof rack quite yet, I was just poking around. BUT when I am ready to drop some money on it you will definitely be getting an email from me!

Yeah, same. Stoked he's local. Looks like a lot of solid work went into it.

 

At least this one isn't like the last guy that made an exact replica of a Prinsu yet claimed it was "different"

Looks like a pretty solid design by another TW member, just a lot of assembly I feel like.
