Works well. Biggest selling point to me was not needing to match the batteries. So the price difference was made up by not needing to replace the OEM battery when I added a second. From my understanding, a standard set up requires both batteries to be pretty close in age/condition/type or if will mess up one trying to charge both the same way. And it separates the aux battery from the engine battery if I draw it down too far with the fridge while parked for several days. So I can boondock for awhile and not worry about getting stranded.

Most of the dual battery options will isolate so you don't draw the starting battery too low. The downside of the redarc that I don't like is that you can't jump the starter battery with the aux battery.

You can't by flipping a switch, but is there any reason you can't with a set of jumper cables?

That depends on what type of battery your aux is.

Also apparently redarc has a $182 add on that can allow jumping your startup from your aux.

Could you link the prinsu-solar mounting brackets and hardware you’re using here?

I made my own brackets out of some 1.5" 90 degree angled aluminum from Home Depot. Cut it in 2" pieces and drilled a couple holes to line up with the Prinsu slots. Hardware was just come carriage bolts, washers, and nylock nuts.

Do you have a closer pic of how that's mounted to the rack? Does it fold down while driving or you remove it?

I just a set it there. It can also sit in the ground, table, anywhere flat and rotate to
Meet the sun. I actually kept it separate because it goes into our Jon boat to charge the MinnKota battery during fishing camp outs.
