@mattgecko lights are awesome. They come in different colors, so if you don't like the cool blue. Not sure if you already bought the kit you tagged. But just wanted to give credit to Matt as his kit is awesome.

Bed Lights.gif I finally got my bed lights installed and wired up today. I picked up the short bed cool white kit from @mattgecko. I have to say I was impressed right from the start with Matt's answers to my questions and quick responses. When I received my lights, I was again impressed with the packaging and completeness of the kit. Additionally the install instructions were clear and easy to follow. I am very pleased with these lights and recommend Matt's lights without hesitation. Bed Lights.gif

Just thought I'd update with a photo. I tried originally, but am new at this - so here it is.
Again -- @mattgecko 's bed lights kits get two thumbs up. Bed Lights.jpg

Gotcha. Im curious about them. I like the clean OEM look. Once they are wired in, do they come on with the interior dome light, or do you just wire them in any way you like?

I guess you can tap into the hitch harness and add a bed switch. But mine will come on and off when I lock and unlock the doors I guess just like the dome lights.

I went with this oem kit and a button switch to put in bed near tailgate. I like the oem stuff and didn't need the vegas scale lighting of the member kit. I also have cover on the bed so the lighting shining in towards cab with tailgate open is a plus vs. it shining out at me. Both are good options, just a preference thing. Best thing about the posted pics is the newer trucks with no cubbys over the wheel wells.

With a garage and lid on the bed and a locking tailgate I always know who is not hiding in the bed. :)

Was thinking about hooking this up with a pin switch that'll light these up when tailgate is opened kinda like on my underhood lighting but that could be inconvenient if the tailgate needs to be down for extended period for whatever reason.
