You’d get shamed every time you park around here for having tires stick out that far. Any sand/slush on the road you’d be taking out windows constantly. Have you never been on the highway and had rocks from oncoming traffic fly at you? Your configuration is just slinging rocks everywhere unless it’s a mall crawler from home a block away. Also illegal here tonhave tires stick out that much for that reason. The looks not for me to each his own but man- very douchy knowingly slinging rocks and blinding people with your light bar. After the snow plough goes by and drops sand my 285/75/16 sometimes throw rocks in front of my vehicle I couldn’t imagine yours. It would look rediculous spraying everyone within 20f with rocks slush and sand.

I’m gonna be completely honest, I don’t like your chrome grill and bumper. And you should put some fog lights in those holes in your bumper!

Not for me. Though it does remind me of some of my builds on HO slot cars in the early 70's. Where width equaled traction.

In other observations, I think your vanity plate is supposed to say 'Phat' isn't it?

As tough as VA inspections are, I'm surprised you pass.

Lol at everyone making assumptions about this guy, “You’re probably .....”

Unless he’s actually done something to hurt you, you really don’t know what he or is truck is about.

People that are intelligent can screw around just because they’re bored. Not everyone who has a style you dislike is less intelligent.

The gifs are funny but straight up trash talking and insulting isn’t what T-world is about, whether he’s just trolling or not.

    Like, so many.
I do appreciate that everyone enjoys these trucks differently. I’ve seen many builds that I wouldn’t want.

Stock Tacomas have front wheel bearing issues. I can't imagine that adding that much leverage would negatively affect them.

After wasting my time skimming through this mess, kudos to the OP for sticking with the thread and responding. Your build is like having a 3rd testicle. At first you find it repulsive but after looking at it for awhile, you find yourself liking and digging the extra testicle and find it useful and different. OP, I would give you a Tacoma wave if I saw you driving around.

Your truck, your mods. Not my flavor, but i'm not going to hate on it (though my initial reaction was that it looks silly). It won't wheel anything but the flattest of flat, but should handle mall curbs just fine. What kind of mileage do you get with the skateboard setup?

I see quite a few trucks with as wide a stance or wider over here in Central East Texas. See them with light bars, too. If I’m ever behind one of those trucks I simply slow down so nothing hits my windshield or chips the paint on the front end area (because that’s defensive driving), if they were actually going to kick up road debris. If I’m on narrow two lane roads at night and the opposing dude in the truck has his light bar(s) on he always flips them off.

The look of OP’s truck isn’t my cup-a-tea, however, he writes that it is safe and road worthy — I have nothing inherently against it. It’s not functional in the way I would need it to be, and I suppose my truck wouldn’t suit his purposes, either.

The real menace around here are those bottom dump highway construction trucks carrying gravel for road works. Some of them spill rock all over the highways. And try proving that the rock you literally saw roll off the truck and smash your windshield, actually rolled off of the truck and smashed your windshield. Next to impossible.

I know it’s nothing crazy, but my front end works perfectly fine, as the other guy stated it never will
