I drove that 79 everyday and never had an issue, same with this. IMO it’s all in how you drive reflects what you get ticketed for. I pass cops daily and never have an issue with width etc

F'burg troopers can be pretty strict. We rolled in to town one afternoon with several blown Camaros and they didn't like that at all. Picked through everything they could trying to write us up. Got one guy for Nitrous, his bottles were empty and unhooked at the time.

We may have crossed paths before lol I’ve been going to car shows, swap meets etc around here since I could walk. My grandfather still has a garage full of cars, don’t get driven much anymore. That was a 54 Mercury with a sbc pictured about with the pic of the back of my truck

Many ways to do it, I’m sure that truck works perfect for what it’s used for, as does mine. Nothing functionally wrong at all, so I can’t say it’s not done right

Your suspension components will all wear real prematurely as most others have said in here. 1-2" spacers arent really an issue, but when you can change brake pads without taking the tire off, you may be doing something wrong.

Whats your wheel offset? Thats way more than 2" of spacing. And you said earlier you wanted 4" more.

Why would you do that to a perfectly good truck..that wide stance is for valley boys.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.

I have never figured out on TW why folks think these trucks should either be left stock or built a certain way. To each their own I guess as long as it makes you happy and it's safe
