this morning i went to start up my truck and i usually have the radio up before i shut off my truck from the last time i drove it. the radio sounded like a call that had bad connection and was braking up...then after a few seconds the sound was normal again. i can hear it from the driver side speakers. the passenger was coming through just fine. has this happened to anybody else? it hasn't happened since and i've started my truck at least 3 different times today. it was cold this morning but i don't think that could've affect my speakers, could it?

i'd get it to the dealer to have em replace it... sounds like a short or a bad component. I've never heard anything like that.

hey thanks for the info. today a different problem happened. i was driving and the driver side door speaker sound cut out, then it came back on and then the passenger door speaker cut out, then it came back on and both was normal again...knowing the situation, does it sound like it is a short or a bad component?

I keep mine inside the garage, and never turn the radio off before killing the engine. In the morning I'll open the garage door and then start the engine. The radio comes on, and as I back out, it goes off for just a second, and then comes back on. I'm thinking it has something to do with the garage door's electronic eye or whatever it's called.
