    No. Bears can’t climb.

    Don’t forget the bear rules

    if its black, fight back
    If it’s brown, lay down
    If it’s white, good night.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Actually quite true. Little known to most, is that black bears are known to stalk and kill humans, unlike grizzlies. Usually the young male black bears, when hungry and mother not looking after them anymore.

The evidence that we have shows that black bears if they stalk you will kill and eat you on the spot. So fight back, you might have a chance. Where grizzlies if they think you are dead, might possibly leave you for a bit or bury you under some foliage and come back later for a snack. Many cases where grizzlies did this and the persons wounded were able to get up and escape.

By the way, 2 persons recently killed in Alberta by grizzlies, and not far from their homes. Not way out in the woods or anything like that. Killed by different bears in separate incidents, only a month or so apart. The two spots were close to each other as well.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

This is why you always bring a buddy camping with you. Then you don't have to be faster than the bear, you only have to be faster than your buddy.

Hard to say, sometimes a bear likes a challenge.

Oh hell, I’ll just come out and admit it.

I was killed by a bear while sleeping in an RTT.

    That makes two of us.

It’s a sleeping bag infused with bacon. Supposed to be good for the skin while you’re out in nature, but it also attracts bears. The questions is what’s the value of good skin over being being bear food. Jury is still out
