Anybody ever see a 5VZ-FE with an external head gasket leak

    This is looking up from the driver side the hose with the clamp is to the oil cooler.

    My 3.4 has been doing the same thing for 60-70k miles and looks like the same spot. Mine might be a little less just gets a little crust never looks wet. Just add a little bit of coolant maybe 6oz about every 3 months otherwise runs normal.

    I havent even noticed coolant loss I just happened to notice when I was changing the oil, im probably going to hold off on fixing untill spring or summer so the weather will a little better and ill have more day light.

    I don't think it is anything to worry about. Mine has done that for a long time and it hasn't got any worse. I have heard of a few people having the same problem and leaking in the same place.
