Ive got the 1/2 dewalt 20v brushless, the hammer drill and the 3/8 impact

The hammer drill almost broke my wrist

    Awesome tools

Exactly. I personally use Milwaukee, but have used plenty of DeWalt tools in the past and they make a nice product. Once you get tied into the batteries and chargers, it only makes since to stick with a particular brand.

You might consider going with DeWalts Mid-Range 1/2" drive impact. Its a good middle of the road and you could always stick an adapter on it if you need to throw a 3/8" drive socket on the end.

    Definitely a 1/2".

You didn't mention why you wanted to go with DeWalt, but if it's not because you are already invested in their cordless line, I'd recommend going
with a Makita. This one is especially nice, and compact:

I switched over to Makita several years ago. They're one of the few tool manufacturers that aren't part of a conglomerate, and the quality of their
    components reflects that.

I have all milwaukee tools now for work, im a mechanic and use electric tools alot. My 3/8 drive impact will take off lugnuts if someone didnt overtighten them, 1/2 inch will take off just about anything but its pretty heavy. Thier brushless lithium with 5ah batteries, hold a charge good had them 2 years so far no issues.
Btw milwaukee has 5 year warranty on thier tools and batteries i dont know of any other company that does that.

When I was working at Ford the techs used DeWalt impacts. They used them every day, constantly. It was enough to sell me on getting one. I have the smaller one, it came in a combo with the drill. The smaller impact is super handy for pretty much everything that isn’t a suspension bolt requiring high torque. Zips stuff like the skid plate bolts right off. Super handy.

Replaced a motor in my buddy's wife's RAV4 using both of these tools. I think I charged each 5ah battery once during the 3 day wrench-a-thon. Great tools, but will look more closely at the one with the 1/2 hog ring anvil. Thanks for the heads up.

Just used that same Dewalt 1/2” 20v impact with a 5AH battery to rotate my tires and it had no problem breaking the lugs (on the 2nd setting) that America’s Tires cranked down when installing my wheels and tires last year.

also used the harbor freight lug nut socket set to protect my SEMA wheels

ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, rear bumper, and skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
I've got the Dewalt 20v 1/4 drive. Does everything I've asked of it, remove lug nuts, skid plates, bumpers, etc. Lowes has them on sale at least once a month for $100.00 which inclides a charger, battery and case.

    Edit: Model DCF787

I had/have the Dewalt 1/2 impact that I used for work. Recently I switched to Milwaukee and like them better. The Dewalt has been taken home for intermittent use but I find myself taking my Milwaukee home as well.

I’ve got the Dewalt 1/2” one, it’s a heavy beast but does the job.
