As the title states was wondering if anyone is swapping their Entune head unit for a aftermarket head unit?
    Cheers!

I'm leaving mine and using an Arc Audio PS8 DSP. The factory unit has everything I need at this point, including a review camera, navigation, pandora, etc.

This is the first vehicle I won't be swapping out the head unit. Has every source, looks decent and is easy to use. Will most likely do an Audison bit ten when I get around to an audio build

    Thanks guys !
I already had two Mosconi amps and tried a JL Fix 86 then a Audiocontrol Lcq1 and it was like trying to clean a crap signal. Was going to do the Mosconi Dsp but decided to go aftermarket with the Kenwood DMX7704S as it does everything and more than the stock unit except play CDs which I don't use anymore. I can play Wav,flac etc..
Rear cam and front. Time Alignment and much more. I use the idatalink maestro rr to still be able to use my steering wheel controls.
Apple Car Play is cool also. My Mosconi's are loving the clean 4 volt rca signals .

Pics of the install? I really want to put a Android Auto HU in but not sure how difficult it will be. Were you able to use the factory BT speaker, or did you have to add a second?

How does that head unit screen work in direct sunlight? I can't see anything on my Clarion when the sun is shining on it.

I'll take pics later, it seems the maestro is sending voice through factory speaker but a external mic comes with the head unit.

Decent job on that install bro. I did the same thing with my USB cable, and I got one of those tiny little USB drives. I also got an HDMI hanging out by it that I've used like...twice with an MHL adapter on my phone..

Looks good been meaning to install a Android Auto capable Kenwood myself. Did you get the usb adapter to keep factory usb? On the crutchfield site it says its not android auto capable for some reason.

I dont know on mine. All my old H/U were eclipse high end without built in power and 4-5 out. Very clean. Still have one in ranger. I don't know if they make new touch screen units?

Yes that's the cable and it works you just have to have your phone plugged in to the USB as both operating systems won't work wireless.

Eclipse is gone sadly. For awhile there they had some decks with 6.5v or 8v pre-outs.

Kenwood has touchscreen units with 5v preouts and Pioneer has 4v preouts in theirs. I am not too sure what Alpine is doing, but I would imagine they also do at least 4v preouts now.

I recently put in a kenwood dmx7704s in mine too. Love that it added tpms on that screen as well plus the backup cam anytime. Like you pointed out the only thing it can't use is the factory mic. I even used the factory USB port.

Just curious about the mic. Is it a plug that wont work or something else. Do you know if Any HUs support the factory mic? Where did you run the new?
