Anybody got a 3rd brake light take off?

I need to replace my third brake light as I’m probably going to throw in the towel on getting it warrantied.

I’m going to try to modify one so that the screws fasten from the outside instead of the inside, under the head liner. But I don’t want to have the headliner loose for days while I figure out the best way to do it, so wanting another one to get worked out for a fast r&r.

 

I'd be interested in your old one. I make gaskets for a living and I am certain I could reproduce a better sealing gasket for this light.

IMO it's going to get a little tricky mounting bolts from the outside. You will have to drill a hole in the outer lens(without cracking) and find a way to seal it with an O ring. I have a few messed up ones laying around just pay for the shipping.
