I bought the rock auto version. My horn wasn’t working which is why I replaced it. Now with a brand new part my cruise control doesn’t work but my horn does. At least I can tell people they’re being idiots on the road...

Is that why they give you a discount when you buy more than one? Just in case they don't all work right?

I originally was going to order one from Longo too, they were selling them for $140 shipped, but I didn't want to wait and bought it locally for $240+tax. I got tired of staring at the airbag light on the dash. I popped it on in about 15 minutes.

    Installed the Clock Spring today!

Horn Works... Woo Hoo. Middle Finger can now go on vacation.

Picked up OEM from McGeorge Toyota $210 plus $10 to ship so $220 total.

Remember let's bombard the NHTSA website. This SHOULD BE A RECALL for those of us with Tacomas from 2010-2012.

I want to get my money back from these Corporate Raiders!!

I'm the Big Jerk - Part 2. Took it all apart and found a missing connection. Clipped it together.

Two Questions - How do I know if the clock spring is centered. Ripped the orange tab off - but on this 2nd try it rotated on me.

    ********************
    QUESTION #1

I can go 6.5 turns instead of 5 as the clock spring has printed on it.

    I can do

3.45 turns to the right and 2.45 turns to the left (when air bag wires on centered on top)

    or

2.45 turns to the right and 3.45 turns to the left (when air bag wires on centered on top)

I DO NOT have the orange thingy inside to tell be when I am centered. This is an OEM piece but it is not there.

    **********************

    QUESTION #2

When the steering wheel is installed. Does the steering wheel suppose to lock when the wheels are straight and the the steering wheel is centered?

    All help appreciated. Thank You!
