Just picked up this set of headlights off Craigslist. Person I bought them from knew nothing about them because he never installed them. Doesn't know about any leaks or anything. Just wondering if they are worth installing. Or what should I check before attempting to install? They seem to be in pretty good shape. another reason for debating to install is because I already have SR headlights. :thumbsup:1204161458.jpg 1204161457.jpg

only one way to find out if they leak. I have read that a majority of all the aftermarket headlights have issues with moisture.

I replaced my headlights a few years ago because I got tired of repolishing them. Went with the cheaper aftermarket unit. Bad mistake. The optics were poor and after a year they started leaking and getting moisture in them. I went back to Genuine Toyota Headlights and the optics were outstanding like original and fit correctly with no adjustment needed. They came with new bulbs and no leaks. It takes about four hours of labor to replace both your headlights.

My suggestion is go with Genuine Toyota Parts.

I agree with this guy, buy some new Toyota headlights crack them open and put all those goodies in them. Idk about taking 4 hours to charge some headlight.... it should only take 45 min tops

They look custom especially with that shroud, I wouldn't take them to the car wash and wash them "well"

If I was you, you already bought them so install them wire them up before screwing it all the way down see if they work then if they do finish the install.

Then take it to a car wash

they look custom ..... lol they are custom retrofited with hid, projectors covered in Panamera shrouds... if the person who did them did it right he should have no problems with fogging at all. if they fog up after he installs them then he has to take them out and do the whole process again. if not the car wash just go outside and use the water hose..
