After all the threads you started for your research project... you're going to make us ask what model you settled on? Rude and rude.

I got the rebate in November when I bought mine. I brought unofficial transcripts and my diploma in right off the wall, frame and all. They took a picture of the diploma with a cell phone and made a copy of the transcripts and that's all they needed. My fine print said that you must be financing through Toyota Financial Services, so I had to prove my graduation to get the rebate but I also had to prove my income to get the loan through TFS and likewise be eligible to receive the rebate. Although, I didn't have to prove my income until a few days after I drove the truck home, but I have, as they called it at the dealership, "that old man credit".

Haha, I like the element of surprise. The truth will be revealed in the coming days. I'm just enjoying this massive weight thats been lifted from my shoulders by finally picking a truck and making the $30k plunge on a depreciating asset :bananadead:

My bad guys, being an asshole and keeping it a secret from dad, brother and girlfriend as well. Not that you all are dying to here the outcome, but I like the element of surprise :drevil:

    lol

Please do post it when you get it.

I think I'll be more shocked to see you actually bought something rather than your next "How did you finance your 3rd gen while only having a part time job and no money to put down" thread in a couple days.

Hey, if you got the cash to pay up front that's what I would do. You won't get as good of a deal on the price since dealers get a kick back from the bank, but it will certainly be less than you will end up paying in the long run with interest. Plus if you don't have a steady job history or make enough now, the bank will be reluctant to finance you.

Just don't walk in doing this and you should still come out with a good deal, if you can truly pay cash for the truck
