    Places I am researching for easy beginner 4WD trail runs-> URE OHV, Brown Mountain OHV, Gulches, and it appears there are miles and miles of easy forest roads in Western NC ripe for the runs.

    @ ovrlndkull, I've actually been to Uwharrie before, just not for off-roading. Twice a year, a guy in Uwharrie holds a big gathering for British Cars at his house. Everyone brings a dish, we talk british cars, then eat and talk more british cars. Now that I have a TRD, I could put my MGB on a trailer so I know it will make the trip (without breaking down on me) and maybe some off-roading.
