    A double pole will work on a single pole heater. You just hook up one leg as opposed to two. So if you see one rated for 220v, it will work for 110v as well.

    Don't you have a friend, or a friend of a friend that knows something about wiring?? Sorry to say this but reading your responses , you sound woefully UNDERQUALIFIED/UNDER CONFIDENT to do these type of repairs. Would you rather set your house on fire or spend some money and get it fixed correctly? End of my comments!

    Relax, just because I don’t kill bears on the weekends and roll around in 5w-30 on weeknights doesn’t make me incompetent.

    I like to work smarter not harder. I seek advice and research before I do anything. Whether it’s my truck or baking a cake. That’s how I roll sue me.
