I just hit 100K on my 2009. Figure it is time to do Plugs myself not sure if the previous owner ever had them done. Figure to save a couple hundred I will do them my self once it warms up. -15 is a little cold to do any wrenching.

That's actually ok. And still may be short changing the useful life of the oil. (For the haters who want to pile on here, unless you bring lab tests to the table showing otherwise, don't bother)

I think you'll find the plugs on the Sienna are 100k plugs. But the rear bank is tough to access. I did mine (Highlander) at timing belt time, when things were pretty opened up already. But I suspect you've not done one of those either.............

It is impossible for your truck to not have decreased performance from copper plugs with that much mileage on them.

My sister in law went 35,000 miles on her Honda Accord before considering whether or not it needed an oil change. According to her engine performance is the same with 35k mike OCI as it is with 5k. Lets see how long that theory holds if we keep the lack of maintinence going.

Just turned 50 last week and never had a cavity.

its not bragging, no sense in changing something that works fine

My 84 tractor with over 2700 hours has not seen new plugs since before 97

in the leaded gas years, plugs did get fouled up and changing them was easier than getting a compressor with a mini spark plug sand blaster to clean them well.

Again your engine oil is gonna “work just fine” until one day you need an engine rebuild.

If you don’t want your vehicles to last however... do what you want.

I can’t treat my precious truck that way.

Toyota says to use dino oil at 5k miles. Don't need to do anything more than that.

ill be having lots of extra money in my pocket from not doing senseless work.

I've been using the same bottle of shampoo since the G.W. Bush was in office. With less than half a head of hair it's not surprising.

O.P. Changing the spark plugs in the 2nd gen V6 Tacoma is not hard. Two hours max taking your time, checking things twice, including getting tools out and cleaning up. However, it is an aluminum head, use a torque wrench.

Took me two days to do my Highlander.

Not when you consider you have to buy more cars and have more repairs over a lifetime like having to replace your starter since its taking over a much harder load.
Or tow trucks if your truck fails to start because of shitty plugs or because of a cylander failure.

Pretty sure no money saved at all.

I am torn on this one. I don't tow at all. I am under the mindset to leave it alone as long as the shifting is fine (@67k now) but who knows, I may change my mind.
