    Ya, small airport there.
You can probably get cheap flights into Reno and it's a similar length drive to K Falls vs Sacramento. Of course its still over 4hrs drive

    Thanks man!

Yeah, it seems like the business is doing great. I miss helping out with the work for sure, but I still enjoy seeing the new stuff you've put out. We will definitely be making a trip down when I get my Tacoma and the wife gets her 4Runner.

@RelentlessFab Just checked out your site. Love the look of those sliders. Are the ones pictured below just the standard weld on sliders or do they have some extra options? Looking for sliders that also I can step on to reach stuff on top of my Leer canopy. Thanks!

Could you DM me some more pics of those on a 2nd gen Access cab? Or any of your setups on the 2gAC. Thanks

If you are buying a truck and living there, get 4WD. If you are visiting often or aren't much of the outdoorsy type, an older, lightweight 2WD car with front wheel drive will get you through 90%. To be honest, an AWD vehicle with just a smidge extra ground clearance over a car would be ideal for most anything.

I lived in a big house behind the College of Cosmetology (here, for the curious) with about 5 housemates. Our parking area was in a dirt lot just north of the college's parking lot, or we would use the college's parking if there was too much snow or we had guests. None of us had 4x4, and got by with a various assortment of vehicles. Out of the ones I drove most:
    • I had an '86 Accord. As long as I had studded tires, I could take on most things. On weekends the snow plows would come down East Main Street and plow the lanes, but they would cause a mini-jersey barrier of snow between the eastbound and westbound lanes (because no one needs to turn in to the college on weekends, after all). This literally became my car's biggest hurdle in getting around town, and I would have to get a running start to skid my way over. In all other respects I was a champ. It was light enough that if I got in a jam, we could push it around pretty easy. The only time I really shouldn't have been driving was when there was a 'flash flood' of sorts and there was standing water across the entire section of the outermost lanes of South 6th... but I needed pizza :anonymous:
    • My best friend had an early 80s 'yota in 2WD, manual tranny. The clearance was perfect, but the butt end was so light, even with sandbags and a full bed of snow. It was really sketchy to drive around, but since it had been in 5 major accidents through the years, we didn't have to treat it nice.

    Appreciate it

We would live in KF 3-4 days a week at a time

We would have to get around the town for errands (banking /shopping etc) and to and forth from the airport

I suppose we could try the 01 Tacoma 2wd with snow tires and sand bags and if it doesn't work can always lease a 2017 AC 4WD SR
